Tomahawk Area Interfaith Volunteers
 Becoming a TAIV Volunteer
Volunteers are recruited through churches, local media, word of mouth and the community in general. Our volunteers provide in-home assistance to people who are elderly and/or disabled. We help with such tasks as light housekeeping, yard chores, friendly visits, transportation for errands or appointments and respite care.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with TAIV,  please fill out the volunteer application and return to the TAIV Office. Because the safety is our priority we will then do a background and reference check and once processed an orientation is scheduled and completed with the volunteer and Program Director.

The Program Director suggests one or more potential care-receivers. Appointments are scheduled to meet the selected care–receiver. If the match is agreeable, the care-receiver and volunteer then schedule time together. The Program Director will check back with the care receiver and volunteer shortly after the match is made, and periodically thereafter.
Please contact Joan Litwitz if you would like more information about our services or becoming a volunteer. I can be reached at 715-453-8200

Thank you and God Bless
